La pièce présente une forme libre, légèrement irrégulière, avec une bordure ajourée et sculptée qui lui donne une présence très organique. François Lanusé, né en 1938, est un céramiste français installé historiquement dans le Var, notamment au Castellet. Après une première approche artistique liée à la peinture, il se tourne vers la céramique dans les années 1960 et développe un travail personnel autour du grès, des émaux et des effets de matière. Sa rencontre avec Daniel de Montmollin à Taizé, au début des années 1970, marque une étape importante dans son parcours et l’encourage à approfondir sa recherche sur les émaux. Ses pièces, souvent sobres dans leur forme mais puissantes dans leur matière, témoignent d’une approche sensible, spirituelle et expérimentale de la céramique.

François Lanusé, born in 1938, is a French ceramic artist historically active in the Var region of southern France, particularly in Le Castellet. After an early artistic path connected with painting, he turned to ceramics in the 1960s and developed a personal body of work centered on stoneware, glazes and textured surfaces. His encounter with Daniel de Montmollin in Taizé in the early 1970s was an important moment in his career, encouraging him to deepen his research into glazes. His works, often restrained in form yet powerful in material presence, reflect a sensitive, spiritual and experimental approach to ceramics.
