Art-Angelux

Beautiful table lamp by French ceramic artist Albert Thiry in Vallauris, featuring a substantial glazed ceramic base together with a natural rope lampshade.
The ceramic body displays a striking continuous band of deeply incised circular motifs resembling stylized flowers or suns, highlighted against a white glaze. The upper and lower sections feature beautifully nuanced brown, ochre and green glazes.
The combination of textured clay, deeply engraved decoration and subtle glazes gives this lamp the distinctive handcrafted character associated with the golden age of Vallauris ceramics.
The lamp is complemented by a natural rope lampshade, whose warm texture works particularly well with the earthy colors of the ceramic base.
