Quelques légères piqûres et traces discrètes de jaunissement sont visibles dans les parties blanches, principalement en partie basse.
L’œuvre est présentée sous verre dans un encadrement récent en baguette de chêne naturel. L’ensemble est propre, bien présenté et prêt à accrocher.

Né à Nîmes en 1936, Claude Viallat est l’une des grandes figures de l’art contemporain français et l’un des membres fondateurs du mouvement Supports/Surfaces en 1969. Formé aux Beaux-Arts de Montpellier puis de Paris, il développe dès les années 1960 une œuvre très personnelle fondée sur la répétition de formes, la liberté du support et un travail particulièrement intense sur la couleur. Son univers reste également marqué par la culture taurine du Sud de la France, un thème que l’on retrouve régulièrement dans son œuvre. Claude Viallat a bénéficié d’importantes expositions institutionnelles et son travail figure dans de nombreuses collections publiques.

Colors remain bright and fresh.
There are a few light foxing spots and slight age-toning in the white areas, mainly in the lower part of the sheet.
