Biographie de l’artiste
Hanna Ben-Dov (1919–2009) est une artiste peintre israélienne née à Jérusalem. Formée à l’École Bezalel, puis à Londres et à Paris, elle s’inscrit durablement dans le paysage artistique parisien d’après-guerre. Installée à La Ruche, proche de Constantin Brâncuși et amie de Joan Mitchell, elle développe une œuvre souvent rattachée au paysagisme abstrait et à l’abstraction lyrique.
Son travail est aujourd’hui conservé dans de nombreuses collections publiques et privées en France et en Israël, notamment au Musée national d’art moderne à Paris et au Musée d’Israël à Jérusalem.

Hanna Ben-Dov (1919–2009) was an Israeli-born painter trained in Jerusalem, London and Paris. Settled in post-war Paris, she was associated with La Ruche and the artistic circle surrounding Constantin Brâncuși. Her painting, often described as abstract landscape, stands at the crossroads of lyrical abstraction and a poetic legacy rooted in nature and memory.
Her works are held in major public and private collections in France and Israel, including the Musée National d’Art Moderne in Paris and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
