Biographie
Hanna Ben-Dov est née à Jérusalem en 1919 et décédée en 2009. Formée à l’École Bezalel, puis à Londres et à Paris, elle s’installe durablement dans le milieu artistique parisien d’après-guerre. Elle travaille notamment à La Ruche et développe une peinture abstraite lyrique, souvent rapprochée du paysage abstrait, où la lumière, la couleur et la matière occupent une place essentielle.
Son œuvre s’inscrit dans le contexte de la Seconde École de Paris et figure aujourd’hui dans plusieurs collections publiques et privées, notamment en France et en Israël.

Cette œuvre provient de la mairie de Labeaume, à laquelle elle avait été donnée par les ayants droit de l’artiste.

Beautiful oil on canvas by Hanna Ben-Dov, an Israeli artist associated with the Second School of Paris and with a form of abstract landscape painting. The composition is free, luminous and highly expressive, built through layered colors, textured impasto and vibrant brushwork in shades of blue, mauve, pink, orange and green.

Hanna Ben-Dov was born in Jerusalem in 1919 and died in 2009. She worked at La Ruche and developed a lyrical abstract style often connected with abstract landscape painting, placing light, color and texture at the center of her work.
Her work belongs to the context of the Second School of Paris and is now held in several public and private collections, particularly in France and Israel.
