Lucien Le Tesson – Vallauris

Lucien Le Tesson – Vallauris
Glazed Stoneware Vase – 20th Century
Beautiful glazed stoneware vase by Lucien Le Tesson, Vallauris, France.
The vase features an elegant ovoid form, gently tapering toward the base and finished with a small rounded neck. Its surface is decorated with an attractive abstract glaze combining rich shades of blue, red and violet.
The different areas of color overlap and blend into the glaze, creating a highly nuanced, almost painterly surface that changes subtly depending on the light.
The combination of form, color and glaze reflects the artistic renewal of Vallauris ceramics during the second half of the 20th century.
Signed underneath the base.
